The year is slowly coming to an end.
But before we head into the holiday season, we’d like to take a moment to pause and look back on 2025 together. For the fotocommunity, this year was more than just another chapter. It was a year of change and new beginnings.
In spring, a new team took responsibility for the fotocommunity. We mention this today only in passing. What truly matters is not the change itself, but what has grown over the past months. Through conversations with you, through many exchanges and encounters, at events and in everyday life on the platform. Between people who love photography and a community that is meant to feel like home again.
2025 stood for listening and closeness
We wanted to understand what matters to you and how you envision the future of the fotocommunity. Along the way, we learned a great deal. About friendships that were formed here. About inspiration that is passed on. About images that say more than many words ever could. All of this shows how meaningful the fotocommunity is to you and how much heart lives within this community.
At the same time, it was important for us to show that things are moving forward. On the platform, initial steps were taken, accompanied by new initiatives and many personal encounters. Perhaps they were small steps, but they were noticeable. And they made one thing clear: the fotocommunity is alive. More than that, it continues to grow and evolve together with you.
2026 will be a special year
Looking ahead fills us with pride. 2026 will be an extraordinary year, as the fotocommunity celebrates its 25th anniversary. A quarter of a century of photography, exchange, and community is anything but a given today. We will continue to develop the fotocommunity and shape it even more into a place where you can truly live photography.
As the year comes to a close, there is one thing we especially want to say: thank you.
Thank you for your trust and for walking this path with us. Thank you for all the images and thoughts you share, bringing this platform to life. The fotocommunity exists only because of you and what is created here every single day.

Alors que l’année touche à sa fin, nous prenons un moment pour revenir sur 2025. Pour la fotocommunity, cette année a été marquée par le changement, l’écoute et un nouveau départ. Les échanges avec la communauté, les nombreuses conversations, rencontres et événements ont montré à quel point ce lieu compte pour beaucoup et combien de liens forts s’y sont créés autour de la photographie.
En parallèle, les premiers développements et nouvelles initiatives ont permis de rendre ces évolutions visibles. Même si les étapes ont parfois été modestes, elles ont clairement montré que la fotocommunity est vivante et qu’elle continue d’évoluer avec sa communauté.
L’année 2026 sera toute particulière, puisque la fotocommunity célébrera son 25ᵉ anniversaire. Un quart de siècle de photographie, de partage et de rencontres que nous souhaitons poursuivre et développer avec vous. Con l’avvicinarsi della fine dell’anno, ci fermiamo un momento per guardare al 2025. Per la fotocommunity è stato un anno di cambiamento, ascolto e nuovi inizi. Il dialogo con la community, i tanti incontri e le conversazioni hanno messo in luce quanto questa piattaforma sia importante per molte persone e quanta passione e vicinanza la rendano speciale.

Al acercarse el final del año, queremos detenernos un momento y mirar atrás a 2025. Para la fotocommunity, ha sido un año de cambio, escucha y nuevos comienzos. El intercambio con la comunidad, las muchas conversaciones, encuentros y eventos han demostrado la importancia que este espacio tiene para tantas personas y la fuerza de los vínculos que se crean en torno a la fotografía.
